Forest Jelly
"Forest Jelly" shows a compass jellyfish (Chrysaora hysoscella) navigating its way through a dense kelp jungle of False Bay, Cape Town, showcasing the distinctive radial markings inherent in its name. This photograph captures the jellyfish's translucent bell contrasting against the vibrant kelp fronds reflected against the water undersurface. Some days there may be hundreds of these jellies amongst the kelp fronds.
