About Ken Findlay Photographic

"Wild Exposures - Its all about what you can do with the light and your imagination"

At Findlay's Photographic & Travel we are passionate about superlative, real and inspiring wild imagery and its value in driving the conservation of wilderness, ocean and wild species and spaces.

Ocean images on these pagers are from trips to the storms and icy waters of the Southern Ocean and the Antarctic, the coral reefs of the Indian Ocean, Bali, the Similans and Surins of Thailand and the Red Sea, and our back-garden brightly-coloured local reefs and extensive kelp forests in the southern Benguela System off Cape Town.

Wilderness and wild images are from Antarctic journeys, walks in the mountain ranges of the Himalaya and Patagonian Andes, and safaris through the deserts of the Namib, Kgalagadi and Atacama and the untamed protected areas of Southern Africa.

Surf and wave images are largely from the Dungeons, and Sunset reefs off the western Cape Peninsula.

Many of our images were taken in areas that are no longer true wilderness or only remain wilderness through their protected area status. Findlay's Photographic & Travel are consequently strongly supportive of the ambitious global 30x30 initiative - looking to 30% protection by 2030, and ensuring sustainable and inclusive protected area travel opportunities.
