A red False Plum sea anemone provides the focus for this image that showcases the diversity of life on the Mellow Yellow kelp forest reef wall. Featherstars, seastars, sea urchins, sea anemones, sponges all provide colours to contrast the blues of the water column. Its the three dimensionality of the kelp jungles that I really enjoy, something that I believe is termed Shinrin-yoku by the Japanese (something that I am not sure we have an English equivalent) to describe "forest bathing" or the tranqulity of forest spaces.
